When my girlfriend and future in-laws packed it up to head off, I just couldn’t leave the beach empty handed so I stayed behind. Around 30 minutes later my rod began to tap and then bent pretty good. I got a good hook set and 10 minutes or so later I was dragging a 24” 3lb 11oz bluefish from the waters edge and up the steep bank.
