Mother Nature turned her Air Conditioner on full blast today! But it is a bright and sunny day here in Beach Haven. Winds are coming from the W at about 16mph. Currently, the surf is relatively calm with 1-2 foot waves. You will need 3-4oz to hold. LBI 5th Street Beach Haven sea temperature is 68°. The air temp is currently 51° and heading to 60°.

The bay is very choppy and 64°.

Low tide is at 9:56AM and 10:53PM. High tide is at 3:45AM and 3:59PM.

The 69th Annual Long Beach Island Surf Fishing Classic has started!! And the first day had some weigh-ins. Here at Jingles we had two kingfish weigh-ins. William Roth brought in a 1.22#, 14″ kingfish caught in Beach Haven on bloodworms. Then PJ Shapiro had a .94#, 13.5″ caught in Holgate on fishbites. On the north end of the island there were two striper weigh-ins this morning – caught over night in Barnegat Light on eel. We also received a report of a small striped bass caught off the surf here in Beach Haven – Caught and released by Alex W. You can sign up for the LBI Classic right up to the last day so don’t miss out! $30 per adult, $15 for a junior – your registration gets you an LBI Classic Hat!

The bay still has some snapper blues and blowfish and up at the lighthouse anglers have been doing great with the tog bite at one keeper per person. Out at the reefs, Sea Bass is open at 10 fish per person at 12.5″.

We have no fresh bait today but will be getting bloodworms, eels and bunker during the week! If you do not have a bucket, we have Jingles Bait Buckets for just $3!
