It’s a beautiful, sunny, cool morning here in Beach Haven today! Winds are coming from the WNW at about 11mph. Currently, the surf is somewhat calm with 2-3 foot waves. You will need 3-4oz to hold. LBI 5th Street Beach Haven sea temperature is cooling down and now at 71°. The air temp is currently 59° and heading to 72°.

The bay has a little chop and is 67°.

Low tide is at 4:48AM and 5:27PM. High tide is at 10:59AM and 11:13PM.

Had some reports of people having a ton of fun in the surf yesterday with fluke, bluefish and kingfish using FRESH MULLET and squid. In the bay there are fluke, blowfish, and blues. FLUKE SEASON countdown – 9 more days in fluke season! We still have plenty of minnows and gulp! You never know – you can still come up with that winning fluke. Fluke to beat is 8.14#!!

Two and a half weeks until the start of The 69th Long Beach Island Surf Fishing Classic 2023! Registration is open – $30 per adult, $15 for a junior! You can register at any one of the 3 tackle shops on the island – here at Jingles Bait & Tackle, Surf City Bait & Tackle or Fisherman’s Headquarters. There are over $25K in prizes with a NEW Surf Master Prize awarded to the largest overall (length) striped bass!
