Daily Report

It’s a beautiful sunny, September morning here in Beach Haven. I can’t believe Labor Day weekend is upon us – although the cooler weather over the past couple of days speak of fall. Winds are mild coming from the NW at about 4mph. Currently, the surf is calm but has 3-4 foot swells. You will need 3-4oz to hold. LBI 5th Street Beach Haven sea temperature is 73°. (Reminder… that’s not swim temp)! The air temp is currently 66° and heading to 73°.

The bay is calm and 69°.

Low tide is at 4:10AM and 4:37PM. High tide is at 10:15AM and 10:36PM.

Anglers fishing the surf are still catching fluke and snapper blues. There is an occasional kingfish here and there. In the bay they are getting fluke, blowfish, snapper blues and an occasional weakfish. Sea Bass is closed until Oct. 1st.

This year’s Kids Clinic 2023 saw 155 graduates!! So many great kids and parents we met! Congratulations to all and I hope you all enjoyed and have fun fishing!

On Labor Day Monday we will be closing at 2pm for a much needed break! Starting Tuesday, our hours will be back to 6am – 6pm. Hope everyone had a great summer!
