Daily Report

It’s a mostly cloudy, very warm morning here in Beach Haven. Winds are almost non-existent coming from the NW at about 4mph. Currently, the surf is calm with a 1-2 foot waves. You will need 2-3oz to hold. LBI 5th Street Beach Haven sea temperature is 75°. (Reminder… that’s not swim temp)! The air temp is currently 76° and heading to 83°.

The bay is calm and 74°.

Low tide is at 1:24AM and 1:15PM. High tide is at 7:20AM and 7:33PM.

In the surf there are still fluke, snapper bluefish, spot and occasional kingfish. In the bay they are still catching fluke, blowfish, bluefish and some weakfish and there are lots of fluke in the inlet. Out at the reefs they are catching fluke and plenty of sea bass, but unfortunately, sea bass is still only one per person. We had two doormats weighed in this weekend – Zachary Wallace caught his doormat at Garden State North – 8.64# and 30!! And Denise Hart go her doormat fluke in the inlet yesterday – 6.88# and 26″! Those are some big fluke!
