It’s a beautiful, cool morning here in Beach Haven! Winds are coming from the N at about 13mph. Currently, the surf is calm with 1-2 foot waves. You will need 2-3oz to hold. LBI 5th Street Beach Haven sea temperature is 79°. (Reminder… that’s not swim temp)! The air temp is currently 70° and heading to 79°.
The bay is choppy and 70°.
Low tide is at 12:24AM and 12:20PM. High tide is at 6:09AM and 6:36PM.
In the surf, anglers still doing well with fluke, little bluefish and spot. We had a fluke weigh-in from the surf on Friday… 6# on a gator lure!! In the surf there have been an occasional kingfish too. In the bay they are still catching fluke, blowfish, bluefish and some weakfish. Dave Closson weighed in a fluke for the store tournament, caught in the bay on gulp, 5.74# and 24′! Out at Little Egg, the Miss Beach Haven has been hitting its sea bass limit each time. She is also getting some fluke from the reef and the inlet.
