Daily Report

It’s an overcast hazy morning right now in Beach Haven. Winds are mild coming from the SSW at about 8mph. Currently, the surf is a little rough with 3-4 foot waves coming quite frequently. You will need 4-5 oz to hold. LBI 5th Street Beach Haven sea temperature is 77°. (Reminder… that’s not swim temp)! The air temp is currently 75° and heading to 83°.

The bay is calm and 75°.

Low tide is at 3:14AM and 3:04PM. High tide is at 9:08AM and 9:13PM.

Fluke is the the dominant fish in the surf these days with a couple kingfish here and there. In the bay there is fluke, bluefish, blowfish and an occasional weakfish. The Cutslers got a matching pair of 20″ fluke out behind Holgate yesterday. And Lily, who was fresh out of Monday’s Kids Clinic class immediately went fishing out to the dock and caught a short fluke!!

Out at Little Egg Reef, the Miss Beach Haven has been caught a handful of fluke and a bunch of keeper sea bass – one up to 18″. She has trips out to the reef every morning (ocean permitting) and bay trips every afternoon! And don’t miss out on the 5PM – 8PM inlet fluke trip – fish for fluke while the sun is saying goodbye for the day! (Thursday through Sunday).
