Happy July 4th!! It’s an overcast morning here in Beach Haven today. Winds are mild coming from the WSW at about 9mph. Currently, the surf is calm with 1-2 foot waves. You will need 3-4 oz to hold. LBI 5th Street Beach Haven sea temperature is 73°. The air temp is currently 73° and heading to 83°.

The bay is calm and 68°.

Low tide is at 3:23AM and 3:23PM. High tide is at 9:11AM and 9:30PM.

In the surf, anglers are catching bluefish, fluke and kingfish. Getting reports of Sand Tigers and Brown sharks too. In the bay there are fluke, weakfish, bluefish and blowfish. Over the weekend Rosana Schreiber caught a current 1st place store tournament fluke weighing in at 5.02# and 23 1/8″!! Out at the reefs there are some nice fluke and sea bass too.

**There are NEW STRIPED BASS REGULATIONS!! Effective yesterday, July 2nd, to keep a Striped Bass it must be between 28″ and less than 31″. You can keep one per person. The emergency action does not include the Striped Bass bonus program.**
