It’s a partly cloudy morning here in Beach Haven today with the air quality a little better than its been. Currently, winds are mild coming from the NW at about 6mph. Currently, the surf is calm with 1-2 foot waves. You will need 3-4oz to hold. LBI 5th Street Beach Haven sea temperature is 64°. The air temp is currently 57° and heading to 69°.

The bay is calm and 63°.

Low tide is at 7:05AM and 7:21PM. High tide is at 12:35AM and 1:17PM.

Still receiving reports of striped bass and bluefish being caught in the surf…. even the big cows! Bluefish have been more prevalent in the last week with mullet being the bait of choice. Anglers pulling in some keeper fluke off the surf as well as getting them in the bay. In the bay there are also weakfish and some small blues. Out at Little Egg Reef you can get some black sea bass. The Miss Beach Haven is running a 3/4 day trip tomorrow (8am-2pm) out to the reef – sea bass bag limit of 10 per person is until June 19th – book online at www.missbeachhaven.com.

Today is Day 5 for the BHMTC Tuna Open! On the scale yesterday, Lucky Stripes weighed in a 165.8lb Bluefin Tuna!!
