Daily Report

It’s a beautiful sunny morning here in Beach Haven! Today, winds are mild coming from the NE at about 11mph. Currently, the surf is a relatively rough with 2-3 foot waves. You will need 4-5 oz to hold. LBI 5th Street Beach Haven sea temperature is 62°. The air temp is currently 64° and heading to 69°.

The bay is calm and 63°.

Low tide is at 12:24AM and 12:24PM. High tide is at 6:10AM and 6:40PM.

Things have been quiet on this end of the island since the holiday weekend. Going back though…. Brendan Osean caught this doormat fluke in Holgate – 7.5# and 28″!! Then we had some weigh-ins on Monday – Mark Clark brought in this 3.64# and 22″ fluke caught on squid and gulp and then Randy Bush brought in this striper 11.8# and 32″. After that, the NE winds are keeping anglers away. But, the surf still has striped bass, bluefish, and black drum, and some fluke and the bay has fluke, weakfish and some small blues. Reports on crabbing have been pretty good too with some nice sized ones being caught.

The Miss Beach Haven has a scheduled half day trip tomorrow (Friday, June 2nd) so if you want to get out on her and go fishing! You can book online as www.missbeachhaven.com.
