It’s a cool but beautiful morning here in Beach Haven today. Winds are almost non-existent coming from the NNW at about 4mph. Currently, the surf is relatively calm with 2-3 foot, frequent waves. You will need 4-5oz to hold. LBI 5th Street Beach Haven sea temperature is 56°. The air temp is currently 47° and heading to 53°.
The bay is calm and 52°.
Low tide is at 2:26AM ans 2:27PM. High tide is at 8:13AM and 8:32PM.
Had a couple weigh-ins here at the shop yesterday. One Spring Derby bluefish weigh-in by Pat Gallen. Pat’s bluefish was 9.74#, and 32.5″. He caught it in Holgate on bunker. Pat is the first bluefish weigh-in here at the store – its put him in first place in the store tournament and he also won the $25 gift card! We also had a striper weighed in by John Pitarresi – this was for the store tournament – 11.98#, 32 7/8″.
Saw some fluke caught off the surf weighed-in up in Surf City! We still have the $25 gift card on the table for the first fluke weigh-in! Don’t forget to join our store Fluke tournament – 4 prizes up for grabs!
Today we have MINNOWS, FRESH BUNKER and BLOODWORMS. Still expecting clams hopefully sometime soon.
