A couple Spring Derby weigh-ins yesterday. Shawn Gallen brought in this 18.56#, 36.75″ striped bass caught in Holgate on surf clams. His uncle said it almost ripped the rod right out of his hands. His Uncle Pat says “He played it great. I called the waves for him and a nice double wave helped him beach it. Awesome experience.” This fish puts Shawn in 2nd place for the derby and first in the store tournament. Nice job Shawn! Another weigh-in up in Surf City was by Bayside Dave who caught a 12.02# on a Yozuri Hydro Minnow.

Today we have surf clams (in shell and shucked) and bloodworms! Have an amazing day!
