Daily Report

It’s a foggy, misty morning here in Beach Haven today. Winds are mild, almost non existent from the S at about 8mph. Currently, the surf is calm with 1-2 foot waves. You will need 3-4 oz to hold. LBI 5th Street Beach Haven sea temperature is 53°. The air temp is currently 56° and heading to 55°.

The bay is flat calm and 55°.

Low tide is at 10:56AM and 11:16PM. High tide is at 4:09AM and 4:50PM.

As I said yesterday….The striped bass are here!! 3 more Spring Derby striper weigh-ins yesterday. Also had reports of many other bites – some short, some that didn’t make it in and some too big! Here at the store, Al Parente weighed-in a 14.92#, 32.5″ bass and right after Rob Zarko had a 17.56#, 35.75″ bass. Both caught in Beach Haven Terrace and both on surf clams. Rob’s put him in first place….. for a short while… until Jimmy Betz weighed in a 19.14# up in Surf City!

Today we have surf clams (in shell – will have shucked later today) and bloodworms!
