Daily Report

It’s a hazy damp morning to start out the holiday weekend. We are going to get some heavy thunderstorms later this afternoon/evening, but then they are calling for a great weekend! Currently, the wind is strong blowing from the S at about 12mph. The surf is a little rough with 3-4 foot waves. You will need 4-5 oz to hold. The ocean temp is 60°. The temp is currently 61° and heading to 66°.

Low tide is at 12:31AM and 12:32PM. High tide is at 6:22AM and 6:50PM.

The bay is calm and 62°.

One derby bluefish weighed in up in Surf City yesterday. But still getting multiple reports from anglers with fish they caught yesterday. We have this 41″ striper caught by Chris Masino with an 8′ plugging rod and an Ava Jig! George Scocchi caught this keeper, just under 38″, using clams and Lindsay Cutsler sent me this picture of a huge drum caught on the south end using clams. In the bay, Tony caught 6 weakfish yesterday just off the dock by 2nd street.

Today we have fresh shucked clams and bloodworms. Should have some minnows this afternoon.
