It’s a cloudy, rainy, morning here in Beach Haven! Currently, the rain is on a break, and the wind is mild coming from the WSW but the rain is coming and wind is going to pick up. The surf is rough with 4-5 foot waves. You will need at about 6-8 ounces to hold. The temp is currently 62° and heading to 65°. The ocean temp is 66°.
The bay is choppy and 63°.
Low tide is 5:35AM and 6:40PM. High tide is at 12:07AM and 11:59PM.
There were a couple derby kingfish weigh-ins yesterday and two here at the store. Kim Bergman weighed in a .82lb kingfish and Allison Ryan weighed in a .62lb. The Classic is still waiting for a striped bass and that bass is worth about $750!! More reports of little blues still being picked up in the surf and reports of black sea bass being caught at the reefs. Striped bass out back by the sod banks.
Today we have bunker, bloodworms and green crabs.
