Happy Father’s Day! It’s a beautiful, sunny, warm morning here in Beach Haven today. Wind is very mild out of the SW at about 5mph. Currently, the surf is calm with 1 to 3 foot waves. You will need about 3-4 ounces to hold. The temp is currently 66° and heading to 77°. The ocean temp is 69°.

The bay is a flat calm and 66°.

Low tide is at 10:35AM and 11:21PM. High tide is at 3:56AM and 4:43PM.

Reports yesterday of bluefish in the surf biting the mullet. However, this nice bluefish caught by Tre Avila took first place in our store tournament. Caught yesterday in Holgate was using a chuck of tuna – 10.42lbs and 32.25″. There are also some nice sized kingfish being caught in the surf. In the bay, there are fluke and weakfish. Two weigh-ins yesterday for our In-Store Fluke Tournament – Keith Smilon is in first with this 4.46lb fluke caught on lime tiger glow gulp (sold here at Jingles) and Dan Sweeney had two 2.92lbs – 19.75″ and 2.88lbs – 19.25″, caught on minnows. Sea bass has two more days of 10 fish until June 22. More reports of great crabbing with nice sized crabs.
