Daily Report

Its a very warm morning here in Beach Haven today. The wind is slight coming out of the W at about 7mph and those little gnats were out in full force this morning as I went to the beach to watch the solar eclipse. Currently, the surf is calm, with 1 to 2 foot waves. You will need about 2-3 ounces to hold. The temp is currently 71° and heading to 72°. The ocean temp is 66°.

The bay is calm and 72°.

Low tide is at 2:51AM and 2:37PM. High tide is at 8:42AM and 8:45PM.

No weigh-ins yesterday but anglers are still catching stripers and kingfish in the surf. Saw some bluefish reports further up north. There are fluke and weakfish in the bay. Sea bass bite out at the reefs.

Off shore, in the 1st Annual Beach Haven Tuna Open, the Class Action weighed in a 151.4 lb Bigeye Tuna yesterda! 19 boats out fishing today, including Steve on Team Jingles. The tournament continues through Saturday with boats allowed to fish one day only. Check it out at www.tunaopen.com. Good luck to all the anglers!

Today we have fresh bunker, surf clams, and minnows.
