Daily Report

It is an overcast, on/off rainy morning here in Beach Haven. Rain may be gone for a while, and I caught a patch of blue sky, but it’s supposed to pick up again later. There is a breeze coming out of the ESE. Currently, the surf is flat calm, with 0 to 1 foot waves. You will need 3 to 4 ounces to hold. The temp is currently 64° and heading to 69°. The ocean temp is 62°.

The bay is flat calm and 60°.

Low tide is at 9:43AM and 10:16PM. High tide is at 3:06AM and 3:47 PM.

Stripers are still being caught off the surf. Reports yesterday of some shorts caught on salted clams. In the bay, there are fluke, some nice sized weakfish and a 15″ sea bass! Offshore, the crew of the Reel Detemined had a banner day – hooking 19 bluefin tuna, reeling in 16 and bringing home 3. This photo is when they had 4 hooked at once!

We have bloodworms and minnows today.
