A beautiful, somewhat clear morning in Beach Haven! We are getting a bit of smoke and haze from the forest fire burning in Little Egg Township. Currently there is a mild wind out of the W. The surf is flat calm with 1-2 foot waves. You will need 3 to 4 oz to hold. The temp is currently 54° and heading to 64°. The ocean temp 59°.
The bay is calm and 57°.
Low tide is at 6:25AM and 6:09PM. High tide is at 12:42PM.
Had no reports yesterday until these photos came in! Danny Federico with his first Black Drum and then this 45″ striper from last evening here in Beach Haven and using clams. Way to go Danny! Saw there was a weigh in for the Derby – 18″ and 37.25″! Saturday there were a few more small bluefish.
We have surf clams, fresh shucked clams and bloodworms today.
