I fished Holgate at the bottom of the tide but no luck. Saw this deceased critter around the back. People are telling me it was a Coyote pup. ( never saw one)
Moved to the front beach in Beach Haven about mid tide and the blues were there and active.
Most of the fish were 1-2 pounders with a few really small ones mixed in.
Be sure to take plenty of bait. Those bluefish we’re taking my baits without getting hooked on most occasions.
Smaller mullet rigs were working best.
