Yesterday was an exciting day on the island with 6 big striped bass weigh-ins! Chris M started it off with a 43pounder – then Brian R with a 37, John C with a 14, John M with a 35 and then the day ended with Courtland F and Brian M with a 37 and 32 respectively. Bunker is the name of the game… but one cow was with mullet.
Anglers are out today hoping to continue the weigh ins. The water is relatively calm and medium weight should hold. Todays temp is about 45 degrees and windy with WNW winds about 22mph. Water temp is just under 60 degrees.
