There were two weigh-ins yesterday for the LBI Classic… Jimmy Betz with a 29.5″ and 10.74 lbs bass caught on clam and then the first female weigh-in – Wendy Essenger caught a 28.5″ and 8.12 lbs. Wendy got hers on bunker. Had other reports of shorts off the beach too.
Saw some other reports: Up north off of IBSP at 33″ and 13.75lbs bass caught with a plug. And down south in Mankiller Bay a 35.77lbs bass caught by drifting with live eel. The Maximilian Foundation boat tournament had 15 fish weighed in on Saturday. 43.5lbs took grand prize.
Its a mild 57 degrees today but rain again – off and of all day. Winds are ESE at an avg of 21mph. Water temp is still hanging around 60 degrees.
