More reports of big stripers being caught off the surf. Chris Masino caught a 39″, 20 pounder last evening in Beach Haven using Bunker. It seems some people having luck with Bunker and some with salted clams. But the fish are getting bigger – both stripers and blues! Speaking of blues…. heard that the bluefish are in the bay now too. One anger caught a few short stripers, but then caught a few bluefish one being a respectable size.
The fog is going to burn off this morning and it going to be a beautiful sunny day warming up to 70. Water temp is about 55 and there is not much wind at all right now.
Fluke season open on Friday! We are stocked up with plenty of squid strips and gulp and will be getting minnows on Thursday!
