Happy Halloween!
It is another cloudy, overcast morning in Beach Haven. The surf is rough again with 3 to 4 foot waves. It’s breezy with the wind out of the South. It will take 6 to 8 ounces to hold bottom, maybe a little more. The ocean temp is 63°. The air temp is currently 65° and heading to 70°.
The bay is calm and is 61°.
High tide is at 10:51AM and 11:21PM. Low tide is at 5:19PM.
The surf is rough is again today. No reports yesterday except that 10oz would barely hold. No bay reports, but sod banks should be producing. No off-shore reports. Today for the Derby there are two prizes that are worth fishing for – Surf City Bait & Tackle is offering their Halloween prize of $500 CASH going to the biggest striper caught today, Oct. 31st. SCBT is also offercng $300 gift card to their shop for the biggest bluefish caught in memory of John “Tobacco Jack” Donnelly. Both prizes will roll if no fish are caught today.
