It’s a sunny but cool morning here in Beach Haven today! The wind right now is coming from the NW at about 8mph. Currently the surf is moderate with 2-3 foot waves. You will need about 5-6oz to hold. Beach Haven water temp is still about 49°. The air temp is currently 47° and heading to 56°.
The bay is choppy and 52.2°.
Low tide is at 2:23AM and 2:26PM. High tide is at 8:18AM and 8:35PM.
The water has been weedy all week but looks like it finally cleared up. Still seeing plenty reports of stripers off the surf and the bay with a couple weigh-ins this week. Ron Hart weighed in a non-tournament striper from the surf using salted clams – his was 9.22# and 30″ and then Danyaal Tayyabkhan brought in a derby striper yesterday (to take the lead) at 11.3# and 30.25″. He was up at Barnegat Light using a lure! If you are not here on the island, you are missing out – get down here and fish this weekend!
