Right now the wind is mild coming from the WNW at about 4mph. This morning, the surf is calm with 2-3 foot waves. You will need about 4-5oz to hold. Beach Haven water temp is 56.2°. The air temp is currently 62° and heading to 72°.

Low tide is at 1:48AM and 1:48PM. High tide is at 7:45AM and 8:02PM.
The bite is on and there was quite a bit of action yesterday on the surf. Many reports of bass, blues and dogfish…. And then Dave Crouthamel showed up with this nice black drum – caught on clams – 10.96# and 257/8″! Next Danny Federico (of LBI Surf Fishing Guide Services) weighed in a 6.8#, 28 7/8″ bluefish putting him in first place for the bluefish segment of the Jingles Store Tournament. Jonathan Kelly (of LBI Sport Fishing) has been busy catching some big striped bass off the surf but yesterday he topped that by catching this big monster 52″ striped bass while trolling. Fluke season is open and seeing some nice keepers being caught out back in the Great Bay area.
The Jingles In-store Spring tournaments are up and running – One for striped bass and bluefish with coincides with the Spring Derby. The second is our season long fluke tournament – prizes to fifth place! Just stop in to shop to register – Both are $10 to enter!
And before you get out there and catch that keeper bass – don’t forget to register for the 23rd Annual LBI Spring Derby! Fee is $20 and you can register at any of the 3 LBI tackle shops (Jingles, Surf City Bait & Tackle and Fishermans Headquarters). The tournament is for biggest striped bass and bluefish. There is also a Catch & Release prize for striped bass over the slot limit. The Spring Derby runs through June 22nd so you have plenty of time to catch that winning striper or bluefish!
