Good Morning! Our first report of the season, although not a whole lot to report yet…. Bit it is finally a sunny morning here in Beach Haven! ….although some showers will be moving in this evening again. The wind is surprising MILD coming from the WNW at about 4mph. The surf is calm with with 1-2 foot waves. You will need about 3-4oz to hold. Beach Haven water temp is 45°. The air temp is currently 46° and heading to 58°!!
The bay is calm and 45.5°.
Low tide is at 3:34AM and 3:35PM. High tide is at 9:25AM and 9:39PM.
Not much happening on the surf yet but we should see some action soon! The 23rd Annual LBI Spring Derby is underway – running until June 22nd. It is $20 to register and you can register at any of the 3 LBI tackle shops (Jingles, Surf City Bait & Tackle and Fishermans Headquarters). The tournament is for striped bass and bluefish and there is also a Catch & Release prize for striped bass over the slot limit. In the bay and by the lighthouse they are catching striped bass and tog. Tog is open, with 4 fish per until April 30th.
