It’s a BEAUTIFUL mild sunny morning here in Beach Haven today! Winds this morning are mild coming from the WNW at about 6mph. The surf is flat calm with 0-1 foot waves. You will need about 4-5oz to hold. Atlantic City buoy sea temperature is reported at 51.6°. The air temp is currently 46° (feels like 43) and heading to 53°.
The bay is relatively calm and 44°.
Low tide is at 9:35AM and 9:57PM. High tide is at 3:16AM and 3:23PM.
We had a weigh-in for the 70th Annual LBI Surf Classic on Saturday and that seems to be the only one over the last couple of days! Steve Roderick has this beauty 10.22# and 29.75″ striped bass caught on bunker in Holgate. It’s a beautiful day on the beach today but the water is a little calm. But if you are here for the holiday week then get out on that beach and fish! Throw some bunker to let sit but also do some casting with a diamond jig.
We now have two weeks left in the LBI Surf Classic – Remember that it is not too late to register. Still lots of money on the table! Just a reminder as you are catching striped bass and measuring them to keep – You measure from the closed mouth to the end of the pinched tail!
