It’s an overcast, cool morning here in Beach Haven today. Winds this morning are coming from the ENE at about 8mph. The surf is currently choppy with 2-3 foot waves coming quite frequently from the wind. You will need about 5-6oz to hold. Atlantic City buoy sea temperature is reported at 57.6°. The air temp is currently 48° (feels like 45) and heading to 51°.

The bay is moving and 55°.

Low tide is at 12:25PM. High tide is at 5:53AM and 6:17PM.

Just over three weeks to go in the 70th Annual LBI Surf Classic! Two days – and two Striped Bass weigh-ins from the south end of the island! Tuesday evening Danny Federico brought in a beauty caught in Beach Haven using an ava jig – 11.68# and 30.25″. Then yesterday afternoon, Pat Gallen’s hard work finally paid off with a striper caught in Holgate on an ava jig – 9.58# and 28.5″. The weather has cooled off so maybe this is it! Time to get out there…. On Saturday, Tog open up to 5 per person – come on in and grab some green crabs or sand fleas!

The weekend is the Beach Haven Marlin and Tuna Club LBI Cup Striper tournament! Captains meeting is Friday night from 5-8pm. Only 50 boat max so make sure you get registered!
