It’s a mild but HAZY morning here in Beach Haven today. Winds this morning are mild coming from the SW at about 6mph. The surf is currently moderate with 3-4 foot waves. You will need about 4-5oz to hold. Atlantic City buoy sea temperature is reported at 59.9°. The air temp is currently 61° and heading to 66°.
The bay is calm and 56°.
Low tide is at 3:25AM and 4:20PM. High tide is at 9:32AM and 10:07PM.
Striped Bass fishing is picking up! The 70th Annual LBI Surf Classic had 4 striped bass weigh-ins yesterday – One up in Barnegat Light but three in Holgate!! We had two weigh-ins here at the shop: Tom Beaty brought in a nice one – 10.58# and 29.5″ using a plug and then shortly after, Steve Gross had a 9.96#, 29.5″ using an Ava Jig (not pictured). Tog continues to be pretty good up at the light. And sea bass is now at 15 per person through December. So today – Get out and vote and then grab your fishing rod and fish!!
