It’s a sunny, cooler, but BEAUTIFUL morning here in Beach Haven today. Winds this morning are coming from the NNW at about 9mph. The surf is currently flat calm with 1-2 foot waves. You will need about 4-5oz to hold. Atlantic City buoy sea temperature is reported at 62.1°. The air temp is currently 51° and heading to 59°.
The bay is calm and 60°.
Low tide is at 2:42AM and 3:24PM. High tide is at 8:50AM and 9:08PM.
The 70th Annual LBI Surf Classic weigh-ins are up to a total of 100 fish weighed-in! Majority are from anglers that continue to kill it up at the lighthouse with tog using sand fleas and green crabs. Striped Bass reports are starting to pick up a bit – a few big ones reported down on this end of the island. But we are still waiting for that water to cool down to hopefully see a nice blitz. Registration for the Surf Classic is open right up until that last day! So stop into one of the island bait shops and register! Don’t forget to fall back tonight!
