DAILY REPORT

It’s a beautiful, sunny, but COLDER, October morning here in Beach Haven! Winds this morning are coming from the NW at about 11mph. The surf is currently flat calm…. It’s like Lake Atlantic Ocean out there this morning!! Y ou will need about 3-4oz to hold. Atlantic City buoy sea temperature is reported at 62.6°. The air temp is currently 45° and heading to 59°.

The bay is a little choppy and is 57°.

Low tide is at 1:09AM and 1:41PM. High tide is at 7:16AM and 7:37PM.

The 70th Annual LBI Surf Classic is off and running and as of 10/15 there have been a total of 56 fish weighed-in! For the next 8 weeks you have the opportunity to win some $$ each day! Make sure you register at one of the island bait shops – Here at Jingles Bait & Tackle, Surf City Bait & Tackle, or Fisherman’s Headquarters. This year, along with your hat, you get a goodie bag, including some “stuff” and coupons to our local sponsors of the tournament. All that for ONLY $40 for adults and $20 for juniors (under 17)!

We had a tautog weigh-in here at Jingles! John Schroeder brought in a tog from Barnegat Light weighing 2.22# and 15.25″. He was using sand fleas. The surf is mainly producing bluefish right now with some kingfish here and there. A few striped bass caught up at the lighthouse and in the back bays by the sod banks.
