DAILY REPORT

It’s a beautiful, cool, October morning here in Beach Haven, but temps to get up into the 70’s! Winds are coming from the W at about 13mph. The surf is currently flat calm with 0-1 foot waves. You will need about 3-4oz to hold. Atlantic City buoy sea temperature is reported at 66°. The air temp is currently 58° and heading to 75°.

The bay has a slight chop and is 59°.

Low tide is at 9:52AM and 10:43PM. High tide is at 3:26AM and 3:50PM.

The 70th Annual LBI Surf Classic is off and running with a total of 45 fish weigh-in so far! For the next 8 weeks you have the opportunity to win some $$ each day! Here at Jingles Whitey Roth weighed in the first tournament kingfish coming in at 1.14# and 15″. Shawn Gallen weighed in a bluefish on Thursday – weighing in at 2.06# and 17 1/8″ using mullet. And earlier in the week Pat Conti also weighed in a bluefish – 1.68# and 17″. The surf is mainly producing bluefish right now with some kingfish here and there. The first striped bass was weighed in for the tournament on Thursday caught up in Barnegat Light using artificial baits. The monarch butterflies have started so the striped bass should be out front soon! In the bay there are blowfish and weakfish.
