After a beautiful Chowder Cook Off weekend, we have a mostly cloudy Monday morning here in Beach Haven. Winds have picked up again and are coming from the SSW at about 14mph. The surf is moderate with 3-4 foot waves. You will need about 4-5oz to hold again. Atlantic City buoy sea temperature is reported at 70°. The air temp is currently 66° and heading to 74°.
The bay has a slight chop and is 70°.
Low tide is at 4:45AM and 5:36PM. High tide is at 10:58AM and 11:25PM.
The 70th Annual LBI Surf Classic started on Saturday with 15 weigh-ins for the first two days!! Bluefish tally was 9 and the Tautog tally was 6.

Here at Jingles Pat Gallen weighed in a bluefish both Saturday and Sunday – Saturdays was 2.12# and 17″ and Sunday’s catch was 1.9# and 17.5″. Mullet was his bait of choice as well as most of the others who caught blues. The blues are out there and there are kingfish too. In the bay there are definitely blowfish and some weakfish! Up at the lighthouse there are bluefish and tog and if you work hard, possibly a striper!
