It’s a beautiful sunny, and cooler morning here in Beach Haven today! Winds this morning are a little strong coming from the NW at about 13mph. The surf is moderate with a 2 – 3 foot waves. You will need about 2-3oz to hold. Atlantic City buoy sea temperature is reported at 68.7°. The air temp is currently 66° and staying at 72°.
The bay is choppy and 73°.
Low tide is at 2:56M and 3:09PM. High tide is at 8:50PM and 9:09PM.
With the warmer water I have been getting more kingfish reports from the beach. There are also some fluke here and there. Over in Holgate we had an 18.5″ keeper off the surf using a gulp jerk shad. In the bay there have been more fluke too. And over at 2nd street and Dock Road Julia was out fishing yesterday and pulled out all sorts of fish. Here are two of the pictures – a 17″ fluke and a double header! She also got a sand shark and some others. So take your kids – get some fishbites or squid and go drop by the bulkhead – as you see there is all sorts of action!
We had two full Kids Clinics yesterday!! We have 14 new J’Anglers on the island – Congratulations to them all!
Today we have MINNOWS and BLOODWORMS. Don’t forget your bait bucket. If you do not have one, we have Jingles Bait Buckets for just $3! Catching fish?? Send us your reports to jinglesbait@comcast.net.
