DAILY REPORT

Well, here we are again with a wet overcast morning. Hoping we get this all out of the way before next weekend! Winds are currently coming from the NNW at about 15mph. This morning, the surf is moderate with 2-3 foot waves. You will need about 5-6oz to hold. The LBI 5th Street Beach Haven sea temperature is 56°. The air temp is currently 59° and heading down to 61°.

The bay is choppy and 56°.

Low tide is at 9:43AM and 9:57PM. High tide is at 2:54AM and 3:41PM.

It was rough and windy yesterday but that didn’t stop Chuck Kortman! He weighed in a nice striped bass at30 5/8″ and 9.92# caught in Surf City using bunker! He also had 3 bluefish. Saw another report of a couple big cows reeled in – so if you have the time and want to fish – then don’t let the weather stop you – do it! Just shows you how good the striper and bluefish fishing is right now. As far as the fluke fishing, I do think the weather has stopped people getting out back to fish – but you can pull some in off the surf.

Today we have FRESH BUNKER, SURF CLAMS, FRESH SHUCKED CLAMS, MINNOWS and BLOODWORMS! Don’t forget your bait bucket. If you do not have one, we have Jingles Bait Buckets for just $3! Catching fish?? Send us your reports to jinglesbait@comcast.net!
