It’s a partly sunny morning here in Beach Haven however it is already clouding over and its a little cooler today. The winds are mild coming from the NNE at about 7mph. Currently, the surf has calmed down with 2-3 foot waves. You will need 4-5 oz to hold. The LBI 5th Street Beach Haven sea temperature is 51°. The air temp is currently 46° and heading to 51°.

The bay is calm and 53°.

Low tide is at 12:57AM and 1:14PM. High tide is at 7:00AM and 7:26PM.

They are here!! Rob Z. said he had an epic afternoon yesterday catching bass after bass in the surf using salted clams on the incoming tide. Most were within the slot and all were safely released. He had about 4 and missed a few others. There were also a couple afternoon Spring Derby weigh-ins up in Surf City. PJ got his first bass of the season too – just under the slot. The time to get out there is NOW!! The last five weighed in were caught on – sand fleas, bloodworms, surf clams, artificial and salted clams. So that means those stripers are hungry!!
