It’s a mostly sunny, cold morning here in Beach Haven today! Currently winds are coming from the W at about 17mph. The surf is flat calm with 0-1 foot waves . You will need 4-5oz to hold. The LBI 5th Street Beach Haven sea temperature is 52°. The air temp is currently 38° and heading to 37°.

The bay is choppy and 43°.

Low tide is at 1:46AM and 2:38PM. High tide is at 7:57AM and 8:28PM.

The striped bass made it down to the south end of the island! Saturday and Sunday were packed with weigh-ins for the LBI Classic up and down the island! Here at Jingles, Joe O’Connor had a weigh-in Saturday morning – 8.10# and 28.5″ using a diamond jig. Then Saturday night, Dan Parker caught this 7.72# and 29.5″ bass using bunker. Sunday morning it was Danny Federico with a 9.4# and 28″ using an SP Minnow and then 9 year old PJ Shapiro with a 7.92# and 28.5″ on clam. Also on the beach Pat Gallen had a bunch too small and one too big using lures. Paul Melledis sent us this picture of his bass caught on bunker – he had two – one too small and then a keeper at 29″. And Ashley sent this picture of another 29″ keeper. They also had one too small, one too big, and then one just right! They used bunker and clam. So the are going after everything!

Out in the ocean they continue to pick up striper off the boats. Using flutter spoon, bunker spoons and jigging. And lets not forget about the Bluefin Tuna! Also just a few miles off the beach. Here Matty Colombo with a big bluefin. Now is the time to book a charter! Call Jingles for more info on a trip on the Outer Limits.
