Daily Report

Happy Halloween! It’s an overcast day here in Beach Haven today – and the last day of October! Currently winds are coming from the WNW at about 11mph. Currently, the surf is calm with 0-1 foot waves. You will need 3-4oz to hold. The LBI 5th Street Beach Haven sea temperature is 63°. The air temp is currently 49° and heading to 50°.

The bay has a slight chop and 62°.

Low tide is at 3:54AM and 4:43PM. High tide is at 10:05AM and 10:39PM.

We had a couple kingfish weigh-ins here for the LBI Classic over the last couple of days – Whitey Roth brought in a .94#, 13″ kingfish caught in Beach Haven on bloodworms on Saturday and then yesterday John Sullivan caught a .74#, 12.5″ king using bloodworms up in Ship Bottom. Up in BL, there continues to be a bunch of Tog weigh ins and Chris Masino had a nice striper weighing 9.02 . On the south end of the island we have seen a few small striped bass and in the bay there are quite a few reports of striped bass being caught by the sod banks.
