It’s a beautiful sunny, clear day here in Beach Haven today! There is almost no wind but coming from the NNW at about 3mph. Currently, the surf is calm with 1-2 foot waves. You will need 3-4oz to hold. The LBI 5th Street Beach Haven sea temperature is 62°. The air temp is currently 49° and heading to 64°.

The bay is calm and 58°.

Low tide is at 10:44AM and 11:19PM. High tide is at 4:16AM and 4:39PM.

Tog and bluefish are what are being weighed-in up on the north end of the island for the 69th Annual Surf Fishing Classic! Randy Swartley caught a 3.24# and 24″ bluefish on mullet in North Beach. On the south end of the island we have a few kingfish and a few small striped bass. In the bay there are quite a few reports of striped bass being caught by the sod banks.

Registrations keep coming for the LBI Surf Fishing Classic! $30 per adult, $15 for a junior – AND, your registration gets you a 2023 LBI Classic Hat! This weekend marks the 26th Annual Striped Bass Derby at the Sea Shell Resort in Beach Haven. This years Derby will benefit the Beach Haven First Aid Squad and the Beach Haven Volunteer Fire Company! Fishing is Saturday and Sunday, but if you are not fishing – food, music and fun are all weekend! Come and join the festivities – it’s always a great time!
