It’s an overcast, windy day here in Beach Haven with the chance of more showers coming through. Winds are strong coming from the WNW at about 15mph, with gusts of 20-30mph – up to 40mph. Currently, the surf is rough with 2-3 foot waves. You will need 5-6oz to hold. The LBI 5th Street Beach Haven sea temperature is 63°. The air temp is currently 57° and heading to 61°.
The bay is choppy and 60°.
Low tide is at 6:45AM and 8:11PM. High tide is at 12:59AM and 1:23PM.
And more weigh-ins for the LBI Surf Fishing Classic caught up at Barnegat Light – tog, bluefish, and stripers! On the south end of the island we have a few kingfish and a few small striped bass. In the bay there are still blowfish, small blues and quite a few reports of striped bass in the bay by the sod banks.
