It’s the second beautiful, sunny, day in a row here in Beach Haven! Get out and enjoy because rains are coming this weekend again. Finally, winds are mild coming from the NNW at about 3mph. Currently, the surf has laid down and is calm with 1-2 foot waves. You will need 3-4oz to hold. LBI 5th Street Beach Haven sea temperature is 66°. The air temp is currently 60° and heading to 74°.

The bay is calm and 65°.

Low tide is at 5:05AM and 5:54PM. High tide is at 11:25AM and 11:58PM.

In the surf there are still fluke (but out of season) and blues. Kingfish are still sporadic. The bay still has some snapper blues and blowfish. Out at the reefs, Sea Bass is open again at 10 fish per person at 12.5″.

The 69th Long Beach Island Surf Fishing Classic 2023 starts this Saturday, Oct. 7th! Registration is open – $30 per adult, $15 for a junior! You can register at any one of the 3 tackle shops on the island – here at Jingles Bait & Tackle, Surf City Bait & Tackle or Fisherman’s Headquarters. There are over $25K in prizes with a NEW Surf Master Prize awarded to the largest overall (length) striped bass!
