Daily Report

Ugh…. still gray and we had a little rain shower this morning but the sun should peak out today and some isolated showers again later this afternoon. Winds are coming from the SSW at about 11mph. Currently, the surf has calmed down with 1-2 foot waves. You will need 3-4 oz to hold. LBI 5th Street Beach Haven sea temperature is 67°. The air temp is currently 68° and heading to 73°.

The bay is calm and 67°.

Low tide is at 6:50AM and 6:54PM. High tide is at 12:24AM and 1:18PM.

We had a trifecta of weigh-ins yesterday! To start Bella Pitarresi caught this weakfish off the surf using clams and a sand flea on the hook as well – 4.9# and 26″ – what a great weakie! Then PJ Shapiro caught his biggest bluefish to date using mullet – it was 7.18# and 30″. And our very own Rod Palmer, who has been here less than a week caught a keeper fluke off the surf, under the guidance of Connor of LBI Fishing Guides. Rod’s fluke was 2.05# and 18″ and he was using gulp. In the bay, there are fluke, blues, blowfish and some weakfish. Crabbing reports are good.
