One more beautiful sunny morning here in Beach Haven, a little cooler but gorgeous morning! Currently, winds are coming from the W at about 12mph. Currently, the surf is calm with 1-2 foot waves. You will need 3-4oz to hold. LBI 5th Street Beach Haven sea temperature is 67°. The air temp is currently 61° and heading to 76°.
The bay is a choppy and 64°.
Low tide is at 12:32AM and 12:26PM. High tide is at 6:20AM and 6:46PM.
No weigh-ins yesterday but did have a report that there are still some stripers out in the surf. Also in the surf, there are bluefish and more and more reports of fluke – and had our first report of kingfish! In the bay there are fluke, small blues and a sporadic weakfish. Had a report of a fluke caught off of 2nd street at Morrison’s too! Went out on the Miss Beach Haven for a 3 hour trip yesterday afternoon and had a blast. Fished for fluke in the inlet – we had some fluke, a skate and a big cow nose ray. But Carson came out on top with this keeper fluke!
