It’s a beautiful sunny but windy morning here in Beach Haven! Currently, winds are strong coming from the W at about 14mph. Currently, the surf is relatively calm with 2-3 foot waves. You will need 4-5oz to hold. LBI 5th Street Beach Haven sea temperature is 65°. The air temp is currently 61° and heading to 74°.
The bay is a choppy and 67°.
Low tide is at 10:52AM and 11:40PM. High tide is at 4:25AM and 5:03PM.
We have not had any Spring Derby weigh-ins since last week! The Spring Derby goes on for just under two more weeks. But we have heard of some stripers and blues still being caught. And there have been more and more reports of fluke off the surf. Eric Stukart caught this 20″ fluke off the surf on Sunday using gulp! Also hearing of some brown and tiger sharks in the surf too. In the bay there are fluke, small blues and a sporadic weakfish. The Miss Beach Haven has been killing it with Sea Bass out at Little Egg Reef. There is one more week to pick up sea bass at 10 per person – Book your Father’s Day trip on her this weekend before sea bass clothes for some time!
