The bay is calm and 60°.

There was a Spring Derby weigh-in up in Surf City that took over first place for the bluefish category – Tom Daly’s blue weighed 12.28#. No weigh-ins here yesterday but quite a few reports over the past couple of days. Over the weekend Little CJ caught his first striped bass on Saturday night in Beach Haven using fresh clam and then caught his second on Sunday with bunker chunks. The Shapiros are still trying to get the winning fish this spring with PJ getting a double header yesterday with a 23″ striper and a 31″ drum on a hi-lo! Matt caught a nice black drum too. And then had a couple different people coming in saying they caught their first ever striped bass over the weekend that were also keeper size. And yesterday Jamie Gramely continued his epic spring fishing with a handful of bass between 45″ and 33″.

In the bay, there are weakfish, fluke and blues.

Today we have FRESH BUNKER and MINNOWS!
