Daily Report

It’s a beautiful sunny, but cooler morning here in Beach Haven today. Winds are coming from the ENE at about 14mph. Currently, the surf is a little rough with 1-2 foot waves, coming frequently due to the wind. You will need 4-5oz to hold. LBI 5th Street Beach Haven sea temperature is 60°. The air temp is currently 54° and heading to 60°.

The bay is calm and 57°.

Low tide is at 1:40AM and 1:39PM. High tide is at 7:32AM and 7:54PM.

Again, no Spring Derby weigh-ins yesterday but heard reports of fish being caught – stripers and blue. But we did have a Jingles In-store tournament weigh-in: Rick Ziegler and his helpers, Adelyn and Reid, brought in this 12.3# and 34.5″ bluefish caught in Beach Haven using bunker! This bluefish puts him in first place for the store tournament. The Gallens were out yesterday and surrounded the slot with Pat with a 26″ and Shawn with a 41″. And Jim Cavage had a monster (42″) that he released. In the bay, there are weakfish and fluke!

Today we have MINNOWS, SURF CLAMS (shucked and in shell) and BUNKER (older)!
