Daily Report

It’s an overcast morning here in Beach Haven today. Winds are coming from the N at about 14mph. Currently, the surf is flat calm with 0-1 foot waves. You will need 3-4oz to hold. LBI 5th Street Beach Haven sea temperature is 60°. The air temp is currently 60° and heading to 62°.

The bay has a slight chop and 58°.

Low tide is at 12:50AM and 12:54PM. High tide is at 6:43 and 7:10PM.

There were no Spring Derby weigh-ins yesterday but we did have a non-tournament weigh-in. Mike Onofrio who grew up on the island, but doesn’t live here anymore, was very happy he caught this 12.26# and 33.75″ striped bass in Beach Haven using bunker! And Randy Bush caught a bluefish using bunker in Beach Haven yesterday. Striped bass, bluefish and an occasional drum are still out there. Put in your time and you will get around the dogfish. There is still over a month left in the Spring Derby and our store tournament… anything can happen!

In the bay, there are weakfish and fluke! Tony continues to have luck with the weakfish using a jig head and a white or pink kettle creek paddle tail!

Today we have MINNOWS, SURF CLAMS and BUNKER!
