Daily Report

Happy Mother’s Day! It’s a bit overcast this morning but still a beautiful May morning here in Beach Haven! Make sure you make Mom feel appreciated before you get out there and go fishing! Winds are mild coming from the NE at about 19mph. Currently, the surf is calm with 1-2 foot waves. You will need 3-4oz to hold. LBI 5th Street Beach Haven sea temperature is 59°. The air temp is currently 59° and heading to 60°.

The bay is calm and 57°.

Low tide is at 10:30AM and 11:01PM. High tide is at 3:50 and 4:31PM.

The fish are out there for sure! We had striper weigh-ins Friday and Saturday for the Spring Derby and the store tournament as well. Joe came in and weighed a fish for the store tournament – 15.36# and 35″, then we had Jaime who is looking for the winning Spring Derby fish – he brought in this 17.72# and 37″… he was close! Then Steve weighed-in this 11.16# and 31″. On Saturday morning Dave C weighed-in this nice 19.82# striper. Most of these were on clam, one on bunker… It’s both working!

In the bay, the weakfish are there and reports of a fluke here and there.

Today we have MINNOWS, SURF CLAMS, and BUNKER!
