Three Spring Derby striper weigh-ins yesterday and 4 striper weigh-ins all together! Danny Federico started off the day with the striped bass he caught the night before – 9.84#, 31.75″ caught in Beach Haven on clams. Then Pat Gallen came in with a 16.44#, 34 7/8″ caught in Holgate, also on clam. Then the biggest of the day, Pat Presutto with a 18.58#, 37 5/8″ striper caught in Beach Haven on bunker! Shortly after that, Frank Brown, who came in to the store in the morning and bought a nice 12′ Penn Battalion with a nice Penn Conflict reel, very happily brought in a beautiful 17.4#, 35″ striped bass caught with that set-up he just purchased! Other reports were of oversized striped bass – Rob Zarko released one measuring about 44″, and Jaime Gramley is trying for the winning fish but landed a couple that were too big, one at 43″.

In the bay, Tony had another nice weakfish yesterday morning and the fluke are out there too.

Today we have MINNOWS, SURF CLAMS, BUNKER and BLOODWORMS!
